Chances are as reading this, your girlfriend is calling or texting you.
It feels like she’s always around, even when she’s not physically next to you.
She wants to know where you are, who your with, even what you ate today.
Sounds a little crazy, huh?
It feels like you guys are always in some type of communication.
You don’t like it but you like and care for her.
You’ve tried talking to her about it but it only leads to arguing.
You wish she would change her ways because you really want to make things work.
So what do you do?
Well, in all honesty, you don’t have many options.
If she’s clingy it’s either because:
1) She doesn’t trust you.
2) She’s been lied to and hurt in the past.
3) She doesn’t have a life of her own. You’re her only form of entertainment and distraction.
So the first thing to do, if you haven’t done so already, is talk to her.
Explain how you don’t like having to keep in contact throughout the day.
Next, ask her why she feels it’s necessary.
Last, explain to her that if you guys are going to be together, it’s only healthy that you give each other space.
If she doesn’t agree with you, then unfortunately you have a tough decision to make.
You can either stay with her and accept her being clingy.
…or you can end it.
I personally believe that being clingy isn’t healthy.
Relationships need space.
You have to give each other the opportunity to miss the other.
If she truly cares about you and wants to make things work, she’ll take it easy with the clingy thing.
