Persistence.
If I could narrow success down to one word, that’ll be it.
It’s literally impossible to fail if you’re persistent.
[bctt tweet=”It’s literally impossible to fail if you’re persistent.”]
Why?
Because if you never quit, you never allow yourself to fail.
It’s that simple.
But persistence isn’t a common quality.
Many people get excited about a goal, go after it with eagerness, and as soon as they encounter a road block or realize it’s not happening as quick as they’d hope; they quit.
Quitting is the easiest thing to do.
…And who quits more often than not?
The boys.
The boys don’t want to work hard and show character and strength.
The boys don’t want to be patient and committed.
The boys want everything to go their way the first time.
The boys spend most of their life jumping from goal to goal, never really accomplishing anything worthwhile.
But most importantly, the boys never become men.
Men don’t quit.
Men decide what it is EXACTLY they want and go after it until it’s theirs.[bctt tweet=”Men decide what it is EXACTLY they want and go after it until it’s theirs. “]
If they encounter a road block, make a mistake, or fail when attempting to reach their goal; they don’t bitch, moan, cry, quit, or move on to something else…
THEY KEEP GOING UNTIL THEY FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE RESULTS THEY WANT.
Men know they won’t figure everything out overnight.
They know they’ll have to put in the time, energy, and sacrifice,
But most importantly, they know “failure” will happen and know better than allowing it to keep them from being persistent.
Nothing worthwhile will come to you if you act like a boy.
You’ll always wonder why so many people are successful and you just can’t seem to figure it out.
Well, listen to me my friend…
Anyone who’s successful will tell you how it took a while to get what they wanted, how they had to work hard, and how they didn’t allow any setbacks along the way to stop them.
But let me ask YOU a question.
…And it’s a very important question so give it some good thought.
Is what you really want worth waiting for?
In other words, let’s say you have the goal of making enough money online so you never have to worry about working a job again and can afford to spend your days traveling.
That’s a measurable goal.
It’s very possible.
However, it’s not going to happen overnight, especially if you don’t know a damn thing about making money online.
But if you knew that it would become your reality if you kept at it for a couple of years, would it be worth all the time, energy, delaying of gratification, and effort required from your part, now?
I mean, we’re talking hard work required on your part for a few years in order to get what you want more than anything.
Sounds like a fair trade-off to me.
So why don’t the boys do it?
They’re willing to let a little setback, and their lack of patience, get the best of them.
Men, on the other hand, don’t let anything stop them.
They know the life they want, deserve, and REFUSE to live any other way.
And once they get what they want, they stand tall as men and get admired by the boys.
“Whoa, I wish I could be like him”
So now, it’s time for you to make a very important decision.
Are you going to be a boy or a man?
Are you going to quit at the very first sign of defeat?
Are you going to let the boy inside you get the best of you?
…Or is the man going to come out and eliminate the boy for good so you can get whatever it is you want and deserve in life?

This is great! I like how you put it in perspective at the end, “Choose wisely, the rest of your life depends on it”. So true, my friend. I have actually been facing a lot of those failures lately, some greater than others. But I don’t quit. How can I?
If I do quit, I may as well just call it quits with the rest of my life. I’m not looking for a hand-out, I’m looking for a way to move forward and up. Hard work and persistence are some of the main keys, as well as patience and an inextinguishable drive that doesn’t quit. Really digging the message, Alex! I can see that the modafinil is kicking in!

You know what they say, Jacob – “If you don’t fail, you don’t succeed. “Be grateful you’re failing (as weird as that may sound) because you’re moving closer and closer to your goals. You’re absolutely correct on that hard work and persistence are the main keys. Anyone who combines those two will get what they want.

Thanks for the advice, Alex. It actually doesn’t sound weird. I at least like to view it as the fact that I’m taking action and not “hoping” for everything to work out on its own. I can also see you’re putting a lot of these factors into place when it comes to Inertia Will Hurt Ya!

Keep going, Jacob. Trust me when I tell you that you will get there as long as you don’t stop!
