Patience.
Do you have it?
Unfortunately, many people don’t.
I admit I haven’t always been the most patient man.
And even though I have discipline and know I have to wait for certain things; I find myself in moments where I wish I could expedite the process.
But then again, who doesn’t.
Everyone seeks ways to get things quicker and easier.
However, when it comes to success, I’ve learned how patience is one the most (if not the most) important qualities one has to develop.
You can guarantee that if something is worth having, it’ll take long to achieve.
When you set a quality goal (earning money online, getting into the best shape of your life, starting your own business and so on) you can expect to have to wait for the results you want.
Why is fast food prepared and available quickly?
Because it’s low quality.
Why is a gourmet meal prepared slowly, with care, and patience?
Because it’s high quality.
The answer to both questions are obvious.
And the undeniable fact is that…
Things of worth take time.
Accept it and move on.
Either get to work with your goals or go back to day dreaming.
You won’t have what you want by tomorrow.
…You won’t.
Even if you won the lottery, you won’t really have what you always wanted.
Sure, you’ll be rich and able to do just about anything. (If you manage your money correctly which most people don’t)
…But you’ll never accomplish what you REALLY want.
When it comes to your success, you need to accept that it takes time.
And here’s where the problem lies.
You see…
The longer you do something without a reward, the less you feel like doing it.
[bctt tweet=”The longer you do something without a reward, the less you feel like doing it.”]
So when someone starts, let’s say, a blog like mine and doesn’t see any rewards (profit)…
How likely are they to continue?
Would you continue?
What if you see no progress after 3 months?
6 months?
A year?
Would you dedicate the same amount of energy day in and day out?
And this is where you separate the men from the boys.
The successful people from the quitters.
The financially free people and the employees who hate their job.
Success takes long because of its quality.
Mediocre success is quicker because it’s lower quality.
And giving up and quitting is FAST and easy because it has no quality whatsoever!
Are you following me?
If you want good things in life, you have to wait.
You want ordinary things?
You can have them daily just like everyone else does.
Just remember that no matter what you choose, time will go by anyways.
And it’s for this reason you have to ask yourself:
“Why am I settling for low quality things when the time it takes to achieve what I really want will go by regardless?”
The only reason you don’t have what you really want is because of YOU.
You can blame circumstances, your girlfriend, mom, best friend, dog or goldfish if you’d like.
…But the reality is that the only one who can create or prevent success in your life is you.
Time goes by anyway, so just get to work and trust that your success is on its way and eager to find you.
