Eating one meal a day has quickly gained popularity.
Search “OMAD” online and you’ll find many success stories.
What’s so great about it?
More importantly, should you try it?
Below are 10 reasons you might want to.
1) Fat loss
Want to lose fat FAST?!
Go OMAD.
Here’s why…
Your body begins utilizing its own fat for energy 10-12 hours after your last meal.
What does that mean?
You spend 12-14 hours in fat-burning mode DAILY!
To put things into perspective, that’s 84-98 hours per week.
Think about that for moment.
Imagine how much your body will change in a week.
Better yet, imagine how much your body will change in a month.
Calculate how much time you’ll spend in fat-burning mode if you only ate one meal per day for a month.
Go ahead, do the math.
The number might be all the motivation you need to start OMAD.
2) Curb your appetite
No, you don’t have an eating disorder if you’re constantly hungry.
Here’s the real issue…
You’re eating too often!
The food industry has brainwashed people to believe that they must eat every couple of hours or something bad will happen.
Non-sense.
The reality?
As crazy as it sounds, eating often leads to increased appetite.
Why?
Two reasons:
1) You develop the habit of eating often
2) You constantly trigger insulin secretion which increases appetite
What’s the moral of the story?
The more you eat, the hungrier you’ll be.
Try OMAD so you can experience a significant decrease in appetite in just a few days.
But if that’s the case, why does the food industry want you to eat so often?
It comes down to one word, my friend…
PROFIT$.
The more you eat, the more money they make.
Makes sense?
What, you thought all those “vitamin enriched” snacks are really there to help you?
Think again.
All they do is keep you hungry.
Guess what?
Hungry people are very lucrative to the food industry. $$$
3) Simplicity
It’s incredibly simple.
You eat once per day and you’re done.
No need to carry meals or snacks wherever you go.
No need for constant cooking or spending money on food.
Eat once and call it a day.
Beautiful.
4) Weight maintenance
Want to maintain your weight?
OMAD will make it as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Think about it, you’re giving your body 12-14 hours of fat-burning every day.
If you’re spending that much time burning fat, how much do you think you’ll need to eat to gain weight?
Here, I’ll give you a hint…A LOT!
Since you’re only having one meal per day, eating in a caloric surplus will be very difficult.
I’ll give you an example.
For me to maintain my weight, I have to eat 2,400 calories a day.
Getting in that many calories takes serious effort with OMAD.
To give you an idea, I have to eat a whole large cheese pizza.
Let’s not forget about the fact that your appetite plummets with OMAD.
So not only do you have to eat a huge quantity of food, you have to do it when you’re barely hungry.
Like I said, maintaining your weight will be easy.
Too easy.
5) Longevity
There are studies online that explain how daily fasting leads to improved health and longevity.
I read one the other day that was performed on mice.
The studies found that mice who were fed one meal a day seemed to have a longer lifespan than those who were fed constantly.
And I get it…
You’re not a mice.
Neither am I.
But it’s obvious that eating OMAD has longevity and health benefits.
So why exactly is OMAD so great for longevity?
Your body hinders stress every time you eat.
It works hard to digest your meals.
That’s why you get that tired and groggy feeling after eating.
Especially if it’s a big meal.
Imagine how much stress your body experiences when you spend the day snacking and eating meals.
You literally stress it out ALL DAY!
OMAD allows your body PLENTY of time to rest.
Your digestive system gets plenty of time to “relax” and repair itself.
Makes sense?
6) Mental clarity
As I mentioned, eating throughout the day continuously spikes insulin.
This leads to a burst of energy and focus that’s followed by a crash.
On the other hand, when you’re in a fasted state, your energy and focus is steady and strong.
It’s possible that you’ll experience a slight decrease in energy after your big meal.
But a couple of hours later, you’ll be back in laser-focused, kick-ass mode.
The problem is that people either have more than one big meal a day, or a series of small ones.
7) Better sleep
Going to sleep on an empty stomach allows for deeper and more restful sleep.
Eating too close to bedtime forces your body to digest food overnight.
This can lead to tossing and turning, nightmares and the necessity to use the bathroom.
OMAD allows your body plenty of time to digest its meal during the day.
Your stomach will be empty and your body will be primed for fat-burning by the time you go to sleep.
The result?
You wake up the next day well-rested and thinner.
Not bad, huh?
8) More time
Think about how much time you spend eating.
Especially if you eat 6-8 small meals a day.
Imagine eating one big meal and having the rest of the day to do whatever you want.
How much more could you do with that extra time?
Think about the hour (or more) you lose during dinner.
Everything from preparing your meal, eating it, and cleaning up.
It’s time consuming!
Now imagine having that extra time to do something productive like going on an hour walk while listening to a personal development book.
How much would that change your life?
Let me paint a picture in your mind…
Instead of eating, you’ll be burning fat, getting fresh air, releasing stress, and getting smarter.
Think about it.
Of course you can use the extra time to do whatever you want.
But ideally you want to use it for something productive.
9) Disconnect from food
Thanks to the easy access and constant advertising of food, people can easily become addicted to it.
Let me tell you something…
Body fat is FOOD!
Why do you think your body stores fat?
To feed and keep you alive in moments where food is scarce.
Do you think your ancestors had a McDonalds in every corner like you do?
Think again.
Your body is designed to store fat so you can survive for weeks or months without food.
What’s the moral of the story?
If you have fat to lose, there’s no reason to constantly eat.
You already have PLENTY of food in you!
Let your body eat it!
10) Prove the critics wrong
“Eating one meal a day slows down your metabolism”.
Wrong.
“Eating small meals throughout the day burns more fat”.
Wrong.
In fact, it takes MUCH longer to lose fat this way since you constantly trigger insulin secretion.
“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”.
Sure, if you’re a cereal company who wants to maximize profits, why wouldn’t you say that?
“Not eating frequently throughout the day is unhealthy?”
Wrong.
OMAD provides way more benefits that eating small meals throughout the day does.
Look, I’m not a fitness expert.
But I can tell you something from personal experience and countless stories I’ve read online…
OMAD does nothing but good things for your health.
What about hunger?
By now you’re probably wondering “Won’t I be hungry all the time if I eat OMAD?”
Maybe the first couple of days.
Maybe not.
Remember what I said earlier?
The more you eat, the hungrier you get.
Try OMAD for five consecutive days and watch how your appetite magically decreases.
Bet you won’t get that kind of advice from the food industry.
Why?
Because you can’t package “OMAD” into a bottle or box and sell it.
Think, my friend.
THINK! 🙂
Do I have to eat OMAD forever?
Of course not.
The idea is to do it as much as possible to reap the fat-burning and health benefits.
With that said, nothing terrible will happen if you eat more than one meal a day occasionally.
There’s no need to be an extremist.
Let’s say you have an event planned where there’s going to be food.
You can either save your big meal for the event, or simply not do OMAD that day.
No big deal.
It’s up to you.
The idea is to do OMAD as much as possible while not letting it control your life.
Got it?
Even if you only do OMAD one day per week, you’ll still reap benefits.
But why would you only want to do it once per week?
Your body deserves better than that.
Right?

Do you cut out 100% of your calories when not eating the one meal? I don’t drink coffee black.
