Meat, fish, eggs, and butter.
That’s it.
For the next 30 days, all of my meals will consists of those foods only.
To many people, a diet like this is insane, unhealthy, boring, and just downright stupid.
But to open-minded people who take full responsibility for their health and educate themselves by reading books like The Fat of The Land and The Carnivore Diet Handbook, this is the only way humans should eat.
Before we continue, I want you to think about something.
Really think.
This is something I mentioned in a recent article.
Here it is:
Have you ever met someone who only eats meat, fish, eggs and butter and is unhealthy?
If you can find me ONE person who eats this way and has some sort of illness or deficiency, please let me know because I am convinced that they don’t exist.
I just had salmon and two fried eggs for dinner.
It was delicious and satisfying.
I feel amazing.
My energy is FANTASTIC and I’ve only been doing the Carnivore diet for three days.
Placebo effect?
I highly doubt it.
I know my body and I know that I’ve never felt this good.
Below are 10 reasons why I’m doing the Carnivore diet for 30 days.
1) The Fat of The Land
I have to give credit where it’s due.
This book is the main reason I’m going carnivore for 30 days.
Before reading it, I heard of people doing the Carnivore diet and their results, but still wasn’t convinced to try it.
I saw the diet as basically the Keto diet, but without leafy greens or vegetables.
Essentially, that’s exactly what it is.
However, as soon I read The Fat of The Land, I immediately changed my mind.
I won’t give away too much about the book because it will be injustice to the author.
Add it to your list of books to read and you’ll quickly become motivated to try the Carnivore diet too.
Trust me.
2) Energy
I love coffee and drink it daily.
My energy without coffee isn’t bad, but it’s nowhere near as good.
Death Wish coffee does a really good job at perking me up, and I look forward to having it every morning.
Their are people on the Carnivore diet who claim to have quit drinking coffee because they no longer felt like they needed it.
Their energy is high and steady all day without it.
Honestly, I’ve never considered quitting coffee .
I simply love it too damn much.
However, I also never saw myself going Carnivore for 30 days.
Let’s see what happens at the end of 30 days.
3) Better sleep
Another benefit many people experience on the Carnivore diet is improved sleep.
I don’t remember the last time I slept a full eight hours without waking up at least twice during the night.
I’ve tried many things such as getting a new mattress, ear plugs, a sleeping mask, drinking Sleepytime tea (which did help me relax and fall asleep quicker), and so on.
You name it, I’ve tried it.
Maybe it isn’t my sleeping routine and environment that’s causing me to wake up.
Maybe it’s the food I’m eating.
Could the Carnivore diet be the solution?
We’ll see.
4) Improved moods and happiness
My moods are never steady when I eat carbohydrates.
Even though I eat a low amount of them on Keto, they’re still part of my diet.
What would happen if I eliminated them completely?
My moods are a lot better immediately after I eat on the Keto diet.
I don’t get hungry, but my energy and mood does begin to go down if I go too long in-between meals.
Like most people, I lose patience, motivation and the ability to focus.
Besides great energy and focus, the Carnivore diet is known to keep you calm and relaxed all day.
Some people claim to experience an increase in feelings of well-being and happiness.
If you’re like me, statements like that sound too good to be true.
But if you’re like me, you also know that it would be crazy not to try the Carnivore diet for 30 days just to see what happens.
The goal is to feel the same way all day regardless of when I eat.
5) Simplicity
I love keeping things simple.
It saves time and energy.
Imagine for a moment how easy shopping for the Carnivore diet is.
You literally go to the grocery store to buy five items or less.
Instead of spending a half hour or more shopping, you’re in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Also imagine how quick and easy it is to prepare your meals.
I cooked my salmon and eggs tonight in less than 10 minutes.
Beautiful.
6) Stop eating vegetables
Here’s something else to think about…
Why is it that children instinctively hate eating vegetables?
Is it because we’re not suppose to eat them and have been fooled into believing the opposite?
Our whole lives we’ve been told that vegetables are an essential part of our diets because of their vitamins and fiber content.
The reality?
Vegetables can be very damaging to your stomach.
I personally feel discomfort and bloating after eating them.
My stomach goes through hell to digest vegetables, especially the cruciferous kind like broccoli, cauliflower, and so on.
Is it because I’m not designed to eat vegetables?
Maybe.
The only reason I’ve never quit eating vegetables is because of their fiber content.
I figured I’d become constipated if I didn’t eat them, especially on the Keto diet.
Well, according to many people on the Carnivore diet, you’re bowel movements improve DRAMATICALLY.
How’s that possible?
You don’t get any fiber from meat, fish, eggs or butter!
It doesn’t make sense, right?
If our body doesn’t need fiber, why are we’re programmed as kids to believe the opposite?
Think about that for a minute.
Without getting too off topic, I want you to become aware of something.
Many things that we are taught to believe are good for us, are actually damaging.
But for that damage, there’s always a cure available.
Cures come with a price tag.
If everyone ate meat and had perfect health, no one would need to be cured of any illness and pharmaceutical companies would lose BILLIONS in annual profits.
There’s a lot of money to be made off sick people.
Maybe that’s why the Carnivore diet isn’t as popular as it should be?
It’s tough to make money off healthy people.
But sick people with all kinds of different illnesses bring in FLOODS of money.
Are you seeing where I’m going with this?
7) Experience fat loss in record speeds
When I created the “Demon Diet” along with the bonus book “Melt”, I thought that I had reached the peak of fat-burning capabilities.
And you know what?
Maybe I have because that diet quickly melts fat off anyone who does it.
However, the Carnivore diet is known to shed body fat very, VERY quickly.
I’m slim now, but am probably 15 lbs. away from seeing my abs.
I know how fast the Demon Diet sheds fat in 30 days, but if the Carnivore diet works FASTER, I’ll be very impressed.
8) Challenge myself and quit cheat meals
I don’t believe I’ve gone a full week without a “cheat meal” in over 25 years.
Since I was a kid, I regularly ate all kinds of junk food.
Luckily my mom kept me in sports or I would’ve been one big boy.
I’ve never attempted to go a full 30 days without a cheat meal.
I felt that it would be too difficult.
When I created the Demon Diet, I made sure to include a cheat meal at least once per week in the plan because I didn’t think I’d succeed without one.
Interestingly enough, a cheat meal once per week actually helps you lose fat faster.
However, I’m not just interested in fat loss.
I want to challenge myself and go a full 30 days without a cheat meal that’s high in carbohydrates and sugar.
The Carnivore diet, if you do it right without cheating, supposedly helps you eliminate all sugar or carbohydrates cravings.
Guess I’ll find out if it’s true.
9) Maximize health
Contrary to popular belief, the Carnivore diet does not increase cholesterol or make you fat.
…At least that’s what many people say.
Not only do you lose fat, but your cholesterol levels can also drop significantly.
How is it possible that only eating meat provides these results?
Our whole lives we’ve been lead to believe that meat is the enemy.
The reality is that meat might very well be the cure.
As the saying goes:
“Don’t blame the meat for what the bread did”
10) Help you
Last but not least, I’m eating carnivore for 30 days to help you.
You know me, I say it how it is and don’t hold anything back.
If the Carnivore diet gives me superman powers and rips fat off me faster than a bypass procedure, I’ll tell you.
If I feel like shit at the end of 30 days, I’ll tell you.
Regardless of what happens, you’ll know.
I have 25 days left on this diet.
However, that last sentence might not be true at the end of this challenge.
Depending on how good I look and feel in 25 days, I might have a lifetime left on the Carnivore diet.
We’ll see.

Are you combining this with intermittent fasting?
Alexander Writer says
I typically eat between 1 p.m – 6 p.m. and plan to maintain the same eating schedule during this challenge. I’ve been eating this way for over two years for convenience, to enjoy bigger meals, and because of how good it makes me feel.

This Thursday I will be doing the 30 day steak and eggs diet which is near enough the same as the carnivore diet.
I will then carry on to the full carnivore eating different meats (Lamb/Fish) I will also go Coffee free for the next 6 months after reading a book called Caffeine Blues I have a bad stomach problem (IBS) one of the mane courses of this is to much Coffee I drink about 8 mugs a day.
Coffee is a drink for “SLAVES” Why do you think there is a STARBUCKS in every high energy city in the world? Its to keep all the office clones topped up with caffeine to keep their productivity up while their in their JAIL CELLS (Office cubicle) works in the short term but wrecks you body in the long term.

What about the vegetables, outside the diet, did you consume before?
Fruits are also restricted, I suppose?
I’m studying a diet to do. I was about to start the Kento diet, after reading some of his articles and a little study out …
Now I see myself reading about this carnivore diet, and honestly? I identified with her a lot, and I already have my choice.
Ps: Jumping rope is killer thing! Today is my third day jumping ropes and I noticed a difference in fat loss, as well as icy baths that also completed 3 days in a row.
Thank you, Marcos Enício | Brasil!

Great comment, Steve. I recommend using organic butter to cook your steak and eggs. Your meals will be delicious.
Alexander Writer says
Yes, I consumed vegetables while on the Keto diet. My energy was great, but still experienced discomfort after meals. I wasn’t in pain, but my stomach would feel tight and bloated.
Jumping rope is AMAZING for fat loss. Combine it with the Carnivore diet and people will think you’re starving yourself with how quickly you’ll lose fat.
