1) Takes Long
I’ve said it many times and I’m sure you’ve heard it from other people, “Success takes long”.
In a world where EVERYTHING is becoming easier and faster to get, “success” is one of the things that still and will always require time and patience.
The problem with this is people being programmed to believe if they can’t get something quick, they can’t get it at all.
…And what a shame that is.
Just about anyone can achieve anything they want.
They might think they lack a thousand different skills and/or resources.
The reality?
All they lack is patience.
Whether it takes you a year, 2 years, or 5 years; understand that time will go by anyways!
So who cares how long it takes?
Start now so you’ll achieve your goals faster.
As long as you don’t quit, keep learning and applying new information; it’s impossible to fail.
You get to a point where you’ve learn what to do, what not to do, when to do it, and how to do it.
That’s when success really starts pouring in.
But if you learn ONE thing, apply it, don’t get results, and quit…
Well, you’re just not giving yourself enough opportunity to get what you want.
Start now because tomorrow becomes never.
2) Loneliness
“You have to be odd to be number one.”
-Dr. Seuss
When you begin working towards success, you’ll spend plenty of time all by yourself.
Some people do well with this, others don’t.
For me, it was weird as the beginning since I come from a Hispanic family.
We’re very family oriented and spend plenty of time together.
However, this is a sacrifice you have to make.
As time went by, I got more and more use to it.
Now that I’ve set the foundation for the level of success I want, I can see my family whenever I want.
However, I still spend plenty of time by myself.
Right now, as I’m writing this, I’m all alone in my apartment.
You can’t “play god.”
You can’t go after success while spending time with family and friends, going out to places, and doing things you usually do now on your free time.
You have to devote energy and time into any goal you set for yourself.
What helped me was understating that once I achieved what I wanted, I would then have PLENTY of time to do all the things I enjoy. (Hang out with family and friends, travel, and so on)
When it’s just you in your room, typing away on your computer; you’re going to get lonely.
You’ll be tempted to stop working and go join your family or friends at a gathering they’re having.
Don’t do it!
There will be plenty of gatherings, events, weddings, and all the other things, in the future.
Trust me.
But your success will only be part of your future if you sacrifice and accept loneliness, now.
Just do the work so you can get it out of the way.
3) Delaying Gratification
This is the one of the most challenging behaviors for many people.
You see it all the time with people who go on diets.
They begin eating all these healthy things and begin missing the delicious food they’re used to.
They know ALL they have to do is get to their goal weight and then they can enjoy the foods they like, in moderation.
But as the temptation grows, instead of pushing through and delaying gratification, they ruin their diets and eat something which isn’t allowed.
Whether you’re on a diet, trying to achieve a goal, or doing anything else that will better your life; you need to learn how to delay gratification.
The good news is that it’s very doable.
You’re not going to die by not giving into temptation.
[bctt tweet=”You’re not going to die by not giving into temptation. “]
Seriously, you’re not.
Plus, delaying gratification is just that, delaying.
It’s not eliminating.
It doesn’t mean you never will, it just means you’ll do it later than sooner.
Just remind yourself what it’ll do for you.
I started seeing massive improvements in my level of success when I started delaying gratification.
Anyone else who has done it will tell you the same.
4) Discipline
This is the number 1 skill in achieving ANYTHING in life.
I don’t care what or who you know, without discipline, you’re not going anywhere.
The ONLY reason you don’t have what you want is because of discipline.
I read this amazing book called The Power of Habit.
In it, the author explains how no one is born a genius or knowing more than anyone else.
Instead, he explains how the REAL difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is discipline.
He refers to successful people as DOERS and unsuccessful people as DREAMERS.
We’re all born with the same brain.
Period.
And unless you have a learning disability, there is absolutely NO WAY you can’t learn and apply the things necessary to achieve your goals.
But the question is, are you disciplined enough?
Can you develop the habit of discipline?
Can you commit to going 30 days doing what you need to do in order to achieve what you need to achieve?
…Or will you allow things to distract you and lose focus of your goals?
And let me just add this:
You’re never going to FEEL like doing a new behavior.
If you want to start a business, you’re never going to feel like taking action.
Sure, you might get some motivation and inspiration, initially.
However, after the initial stage, you’re not always going to feel like reading books, emailing people, learning and applying information, and so on.
But if you discipline yourself to JUST DO IT, whether you feel like it or not, the results will come.
Discipline will get you anything you want.
Anything.
Money, health, freedom, power, and success.
Whoever tells you different is lying to you or doesn’t know any better.
“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments”.
– Jim Rohn
5) Self-Limiting Beliefs
Depending on your childhood, your surroundings, and things you were told and taught to believe; your mind might be JAM-PACKED with limiting beliefs.
Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.
The good news?
You can eliminate any limiting belief you have.
The bad news?
It requires work.
Self-limiting beliefs are ideas you’ve accepted in your mind as true.
Maybe you were taught to believe that making money is bad.
…Or that you’re not smart enough, can’t figure things out on your own, are helpless, not creative, or not good with people.
The reality is that there’s really no way to tell what YOUR limiting beliefs are.
You can sort of get an idea by the way you think and the level of action you’re willing to take.
However, you can’t just automatically tap into your mind and find ALL of your beliefs and doubts.
What’s the answer to find and fix these?
Affirmations.
Whatever you want in life, affirm it in your mind over and over until your mind has no choice but to accept it as true.
Wait…
Did you hear me there?
You want to give your mind NO CHOICE but to accept it as true.
Think about that for a moment…it’s VERY powerful!
For more information on this, read my article 7 Laws of Attraction (And How I Use Them to Attract Everything I Want).
So let’s say I had a limiting belief about making money online, but didn’t know I had it.
Well, unless I ever decided to actually make money online, would I ever know that belief was lurking around my subconscious-mind?
Maybe…Maybe not.
However, since that’s the goal, what I would do, in case I did have it, is write out and repeat my affirmations, daily.
This would allow the belief of “I can earn money online” to bypass the believe of “I can’t.”
Again, this is really important, so make note of it.

These 5 reasons why success is hard but not impossible is a great motivator and reminder to keep you focused on your goals.
Success in anything is very possible.
You have to take control of your life, mind, and body if you really want something.
No one is going to push you the way you can push yourself.
The world is abundant in all things and whatever you want is waiting for you.
There’s enough of everything for everyone.
However, not everyone will go after what they want until they get it.
If you really want it…
IT’S YOURS.
We’ll talk again soon,
