3 Signs It’s Time to Break-Up
Breaking up can be hard.
Some people postponed it because they fear being alone.
They endure more pain than happiness.
They waste time in a relationship that isn’t going anywhere and jeopardize meeting someone who could offer them so much more.
While being alone is tough, you need to accept when a relationship isn’t working.
You need to know when it’s time to break-up.
Here are three signs that it’s time!
1) More Arguing than Talking
Disagreements and arguing are going to happen.
It’s inevitable in ANY relationship.
Even if you’re a match made in heaven, you’ll argue with your partner.
But if there’s more arguing than talking and there doesn’t seem to be a solution to things, it’s time to say goodbye.
Arguments that don’t end with a solution mean one thing and one thing only:
The relationship doesn’t work.
You can’t change people.
If you don’t see eye to eye, you’re with the wrong person.
Why might people disagree with that last sentence?
Because they fear being alone.
They settle in a relationship they know they’re not happy in.
Relationships are about compromise.
Most people don’t like compromise.
How do you know if you truly love the person you’re with?
Simple…
You’re willing to compromise.
2) No Happy Greetings
Do you smile when you see each other?
Does it feel like you missed each other?
Or are you just there because it feels like you need to be?
When two people are truly happy, you see it in their greeting.
You can tell they missed each other every second they were apart.
You don’t need to be a relationship expert, it’s evident.
How you greet and feel when you see your partner is the best clue to know if the relationship is worth pursuing any further.
3) Lack of Excitement
Are you traveling together…NO?
Are you exploring news things?…NO?
Do you motivate and encourage each other with goals?…NO?
It’s time to break-up.
A relationship should help you become the best person you can be.
You should be discovering new things and forming memories together, not just watching time go by, day after day.
You should be excited to see each other grow and achieve new things.
If your partner doesn’t support or motivate you, is it going to feel good to celebrate with them once you accomplish your goals?
I’m not saying they have to act like a parent and be on your back.
They don’t have to constantly nag you about your progress.
They just need to ask how things are going and if they can help in any way.
If you accomplish a goal and can’t tell your partner one of the following:
“I couldn’t have done it without your support”
“Thanks for helping and believing in me”
“I’m glad you’re here to celebrate with me”
It’s time to break-up.
