Don’t Make a Bad Thing Worse

January 19, 2016 By Alexander Writer Leave a Comment

Unless you’re one of those rare individuals who’s born and never experiences a negative situation, there will come a time (or many times) when you’ll have to deal with something bad that happens.

This can be many things such as losing your job, getting into an accident, your girlfriend leaving you, getting injured while working out, etc.

A bad situation can come from many different areas in your life.

The important thing is not the situation itself, but how you handle it.

The very first thing you want to avoid is freaking out!

When you begin to lose your cool, you’re on your way to making a bad thing worse.

Understand that how you handle a situation will affect the outcome.

If you get a flat tire, instead of getting stressed out, kicking your car, and begin considering calling a tow truck; relax and understand that you have options.

All you have to do is put the spare on and drive to the tire shop to get the flat tire patched.

A tire patch will cost you $10-$15.

Now, if you’ve never had a flat before, have no idea what a spare tire is (or that you even have one), and begin freaking out; you might do something crazy like call a tow truck to tow your car. (Unnecessary)

You’ll then proceed to buy a new tire. (Also unnecessary unless the tire has irreparable damage)

You’ll end up spending close to $200 with this method (tire plus tow truck service costs) and waste a LOT more time waiting for the tow truck to come, load your car, and drive it to the tire shop.

However, if you just relax and think, you can prevent all that.

You’ll always find a better option in life if you just relax and think.

There’s always a smarter and more efficient way to handle things.

However, in order to find those better ways, you have to be calm and able to think.

Don’t jump to conclusions and don’t ever believe there’s only one solution to a problem.

Call and ask others for advice.

Search online for answers.

Learn and figure out better ways to handle the situation.

Again, it can save you a lot of time, hassle, and regret.

Always remember the flat tire analogy in this article whenever you’re faced with a negative situation.

You’ll see that by remaining calm, things will work themselves out the best way possible.

They always do.
