My grandfather and I had a strong bond.
I spent a lot of time with him as a kid.
He always tried to instill values and knowledge in me that would either help or prevent pain in the future.
I’m grateful for all the great things I learned from him.
One of the things he told me many, MANY times was:
“If you’re going to do something, do it right”
In other words, your integrity as a man is worth more than anything.
He explained how I should never commit to or say I’m going to do something unless I was absolutely sure I was going to do it right.
And even though I made mistakes as a kid, now that I’m a man, I only do things if I’m going to them right.
In life, it’s vital to build a reputation of doing things right.
If you’re going to create a blog like mine that offers free articles and products for sale which help people; do it right.
Take your time with each article, re-read it, and make sure it’s going to help whoever reads it.
Don’t create and release products with getting rich being your only intention.
Work hard, do the research, and put together an excellent product that’s worth 10x what you charge for it.
Do things right and good things will come to you.
[bctt tweet=”Do things right and good things will come to you.”]
It’s really that simple.
People will always judge you by your level of integrity and commitment.
In other words, do you keep your word?
Can you be held accountable?
Believe it or not, people who do things right are hard to find.
…Especially online.
But not me, I do things right 100% of the time.
I said I was going to write 30 articles in 30 days.
Guess what – today is day 14 out of 30.
I’m halfway there and will prove that when I say I’m going to do something, I do it.
…And do it right.
Everyday, I spend many hours with each article.
Many of these articles are way over 1000 words.
If you’re a writer like me, you know the time that goes into an article that long.
First you have to write the whole thing.
Then comes the real work: Proofread. Edit. Cut and add words/sentences. Proofread again.
It’s a time consuming process.
…But I said I was going to do it.
I made a commitment.
So every morning as I drink my coffee, I’m typing away on the computer.
You want to be respected and perceived as trustworthy?
Always keep your word and do things right.
If you schedule an appointment, get there on time.
If you promise to help a friend move, be there.
If you want to earn money online, start with the mindset:
“How can I help people solve their problems while earning money?”
That’s how you do things right.
You do what you say you’re going to do, you do right and help people, and slowly but surely, you begin to experience success.
Just the habit of doing things right can bring you far more success, happiness, and fulfillment than someone who always seeks the easy way to do things.
Someone who wants success now…
…Someone who does harm and rips people off by making false promises about their products…
….Someone who you can never count on.
And the reality is that there’s a LOT of people like this.
But that’s OK.
What’s important is that you’re not like that.
And that after reading this article you make a commitment to always do things right.
Following this principle has brought me success and allowed me to gain the trust of others.
My success came in slowly.
…But it came.
And if you do things right, you’ll be able to achieve success too while being able to sleep at night knowing you didn’t do any harm to people in order to succeed.
No matter what success means to you, you can have it.
And have it for a long time as long as you do things right.
With that said, I’m going to end this article with a powerful statement:
Being known as someone who always does things right and who’s reliable is something that no one can take away from you, something that money cannot buy, and something that will only bring you good things and success in life.
Don’t ever forget that.
Talk soon,
-Alex
