How Being Stubborn Helps Me Succeed
Something interesting happens when you begin chasing your goals.
People start telling you that maybe you should do things differently.
Out of nowhere, you’re a suggestion box where people drop-off their opinions and recommendations.
And while some people’s only intention is to help, most of them don’t know what the hell they’re talking about.
They say what they “think” they know and what’s right.
For example, when I started this blog, I came up with the name ‘Inertia Will Hurt Ya’ for several reasons.
One of those reasons was that I liked the idea behind the concept.
Inertia means lack of action.
And anyone who doesn’t take action to improve their lives will inevitably encounter pain.
Therefore…
Inertia will hurt ya!
Some people absolutely loved the name.
I heard things like “It’s so catchy”, “It’s memorable” , “It’s unique” , and “It’s cool”.
And then there were the people who hated it and said things like “The word “ya” isn’t a real word, it makes your website appear immature”, “Your domain name is confusing”, and “People will misspell your domain name”.
Why I succeeded anyways
Regardless of what anyone told me, I was stubborn and left things how they were.
I didn’t change my domain name no matter who did or didn’t like it.
And you know what?
Only good things happened.
My traffic increased and my eBooks sold.
But why does being stubborn work exactly?
What’s the underlying reason?
The answer is self-belief.
When you believe in yourself 100% and say “This is going to work no matter what”, interesting things begin to happen.
One of them is that you learn how to make whatever you have, successful.
Sure, maybe my domain name might be one of those negative things people told me.
But you know what?
Because I believed in myself and said that I could make my blog successful in my own way, I was able to proceed and succeed.
How you can succeed
Decide exactly what you want to do and just start doing it.
No matter how little or how much you have – TAKE ACTION!
Don’t listen to anyone who doesn’t already have what you want.
People love to make themselves experts with things they have no experience with.
…Don’t listen to them.
As long as you keep taking action, you will eventually succeed.
But if you allow self-doubt and what other people say affect your level of self-belief, you’ll get nothing.
Claim what you want, become stubborn, educate yourself by ONLY studying people who have what you want.
You’ll see how the more time you dedicate, the more your success will increase.
Inertia will hurt ya might be one of the BEST or WORST names to ever exist on the internet.
But it doesn’t matter….
It’s successful because I believe in it 100%.
I give it hope.
I give it life.
I give it a purpose.
And it’s going to stay here as long as the internet is around.
Stay tuned and see for yourself.
Talk soon,
-Alex
