How to Look as Slim as Possible in 5 Days

May 7, 2015 By Alexander Writer 11 Comments

Here’s a diet plan to follow if you want to look as slim as possible in just 5 days.

Maybe you have an event, a hot date, or something similar that you want to look great for.

Whatever it is, this sure will help!

I created this by combining different things I’ve learned and tried over the years.

These tips I’m going to share with you work VERY WELL together.

When combined, they eliminate all retained water in your body and burn fat, simultaneously.

You could be retaining water from too much sodium or too many carbs.

As a result, you’re bloated and look heavier than you actually are!

You’ll drop anywhere from .5 lbs. to 1.5 lbs. of body fat in just 5 days.

Dropping .5 – 1.5 lbs. of fat, plus all retained water, will result in you looking A LOT slimmer!

Remember that body fat and retained water are two different things but both make you look heavy.

When someone says I lost 10 lbs. in a week, what they really mean is that they lost probably 1-2 lbs. of fat and 8-9 lbs. of water weight.

Of course, your scale isn’t going to tell you how much you lost of each, it just shows a number.

For more information on this, read my post on Why Weighing Yourself Is a Waste of Time.

Let’s get right into the 3 rules to get you as slim as possible in the next 5 days!

1) No Carbs

Carbohydrates are great source of energy.

However, they’re prone to make your body retain water weight and make you appear bloated if you eat a high amount.

During these five days, no carbohydrates are allowed.

And when I say “no carbohydrates”, I mean zero.

Not twenty, ten, or five; zero carbs!

That means no cream or sugar in your coffee.

No bread, cheese, pasta, ice cream, etc.

Stick to lean meats (chicken, steak, turkey, tuna, ground beef, and eggs).

Typically, anything with zero carbs.

No vegetables allowed either.

Don’t worry, it’s only 5 days.

No carbs allows your body to use its fat stores for energy.

Protein (lean meats) works as a diuretic and assist in eliminating water weight.

It’s very hard for your body to digest protein which helps burn more calories.

Are you seeing so far how all these things combined work amazingly well?

Let’s continue…

2) Water ManipulationDSC03501-C

Water is the only beverage allowed, but you can have 1 cup of black coffee in the morning.

Even though diet drinks have no carbs or sugar, they contain chemicals and artificial sweeteners that make your body retain water.

Here’s the schedule you’ll follow with water the next 5 days.

  • Monday – 2 gallons
  • Tuesday – 2 gallons
  • Wednesday – 1 gallon
  • Thursday – 1/2 gallon
  • Friday – take zips of water when necessary ( try to keep it as minimal as possible)

Yes, drinking 2 gallons of water on Monday and Tuesday can be a little difficult, especially if you barely drink water now.

However, I promise it can be done and it’s not as hard as you think.

Just take big sips throughout the day and make sure you start early.

The purpose of this schedule of water is to allow your body to flush out all excess water its holding.

By taking in large sums of water on Monday and Tuesday, you get your body into “flushing mode”.

This is done by fighters who are trying to make weight before a fight.

You’ll be going to the bathroom A LOT on these days so prepare in advance.

By Thursday and Friday, your body will still be in “flushing mode”.

You’ll notice you’re still be peeing a lot on these days even though you’re drinking a lot less water.

3) No Eating After 5 p.m.

When you stop eating at 5 p.m., you go to sleep on an empty stomach.

Going to bed on an empty stomach always results in waking up slimmer.

You also give your body a lot more time to burn stored fat.

If you read my post 7 Secrets to Burn Fat Fast, you’ll know how effective intermittent fasting (going many hours of the day without eating) is for rapid fast loss.

Combine no carbs, no food after 5 p.m., and water manipulation and you’re talking some serious changes in just 5 days.

I absolutely guarantee that if you do this you will see and feel the difference.

No need to spend a ton of money of juices, pills, or any other crazy diet program.

Following these 3 steps is ALL you need.

So let’s recap, shall we?

1) No carbs

2) Water manipulation

3) No eating after 5 pm.

This is simple and effective, but you have to follow the steps just as I laid them out.

Try it and report your results in the comment section below.

Good stuff! In addition to no carbs, add more fat to compensate. This has two positive effects to fat loss: it put’s your body into ketogenesis mode which literally means metabolism of fat, and due to the slow speed at which the body metabolizes fat, you’ll feel full for much longer and have more stable energy. Salmon and almonds are good, hormone free sources of fat.

Glad you mentioned that, Chris! Yes, and I’ll also add that you should cook in extra virgin olive oil to add healthy fats to everything you eat. Some meats have higher fat content than others, but as long as you cook in olive oil, you’ll be getting plenty of healthy fats to feel full throughout the day. In my experience, by the 2nd day, you’re barely hungry anymore. When you eliminate carbs, your appetite tends to disappear. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas!

    Samuel,

Ultimately, it depends on your goals. Could you eat a few carbs and still look as slim as possible in 5 days? Maybe, maybe not. In my opinion, it’s better to just play it safe and eliminate all carbs. This is just a short term thing anyways to look as slim as possible for a party, event, etc. coming up. I personally eat carbs everyday. I believe that as long as you eat the right amount for your body type/activity levels, you’ll have no problem maintaining your weight. Thanks for sharing your opinion!

    Tara,

Fitting into your same jeans after 12 years is something you should be proud of!

I mentioned no vegetables because you guessed it, people experience bloating when eating too many of them. Will the bloating happen to everyone? No. However, just as I mentioned in my response above, it’s better to play it safe. The goal of the water manipulation is to make you appear as lean as possible after 5 days. Here’s a great article that explains vegetables and bloating.

As for your second question, it’s hard to find a substitute for meat that isn’t fish or eggs. If you do eat eggs and fish, I would suggest having different types of fish and preparing your eggs a different way to avoid becoming bored. Again, it’s only five days and you’re trying to GUARANTEE that you look as lean as possible.

These are some great tips that you said in this article!

I still eat carbs though. I don’t they make a huge difference, but that’s only my personal opinion. 🙂

    Great article!

The water manipulation is very interesting and new to me. I’ll keep this technique in mind.

I have a couple of questions:
1 – Why no vegetables? Bloating?
2 – I don’t eat meat – any substitutes that you think will work here? Aside from fish and eggs.

Btw, I don’t have a scale at home as well. I can easily wear the same tight jeans I wore12 years ago. That’s all I need to know.

    Hello!
I am starting this diet today for the next week but I was curious if nuts (almonds, macadamia) should be eaten because they are a good source of protein for snacking but have some carbs in them. Want to make sure I’m getting the most out of this diet!

Hi Stephanie, I can’t speak from experience because I wouldn’t incorporate those food items when I did this 5 day diet. It’s your choice if you’d like to experiment with adding them to see what happens 🙂
