How to Start a Successful Blog and Create Unlimited Content
I always tell people “Starting is easy. Being persistent is the hard part.”
Anyone can start a blog.
You can have everything up and running in less than a half hour.
However, once your blog is live, it’s time to either explode its growth or not take it seriously.
An issue many people face is the inability to consistently create quality content.
Can you guess the reason behind that?
Here, I’ll tell you:
They stop their education!
A blog is nothing more than a website with a ton of content that helps people.
Sure, you can take it a step further like me and monetize it by selling digital products.
But at the end of the day, a blog’s underlying purpose is to help those who land on it.
So how do you start a successful blog and create unlimited content?
Easy.
You read a minimum of one hour per day in your field.
I promise that if you read that much daily in any category, you’ll have ENDLESS topics and ideas.
You’ll may even find that you have too much to write about.
If you reach a point where ideas no longer come to you, it’s time to manually put them in your head.
You do this by either finding other blogs, reading books, or watching videos related to your content.
Following these steps ensures your success.
Trust me.
Teach as you learn
One of the strategies I follow is teaching as I learn.
Whenever I’m reading a book or listening to an audio-book, I make notes as I go.
As soon as I come across something interesting/valuable, I stop and write it down.
Before I know it, I’ll have an article title and outline created.
Next, I’ll apply what I learned (discussed later) to see what results I get.
Last, I’ll write the article to share my experience with the reader.
It’s really that simple.
In my opinion, there’s no such thing as writer’s block.
The only thing the can block you is YOU.
In other words, only you get in your way of learning.
Only you get in your way of coming up with new topics.
If you’re not reading a minimum of an hour per day, you’re simply not serious about your success.
You have unlimited information available instantly thanks to the power of the internet.
Take advantage of it!
Do you know how hard it was to get information back in the day?
Now, it’s all available in the click of a button.
Following the technique of teaching as you go will allow you to start a successful blog and create unlimited content forever.
There will ALWAYS be more/new information for you to learn and write about.
Applying what you learn
Of course, the best way to create content is applying what you learn before writing about it.
Telling your story is a great blogging strategy.
It’s more entertaining than a basic “How to” article.
It does a better job at motivating others because it comes across as more sincere and authentic.
People would much rather hear about your experience than to hear some rehashed content off the internet like “5 ways to burn fat”.
When writing an article, explain what, how, when, and why you did what you did.
Include as much detail as possible.
The WORST thing you can do is create a blog post of something that you’ve never tried yourself.
If you don’t have proof that something works, don’t write about it.
Creating content that fails to get promised results is the FASTEST way to lose your readers trust.
And believe me when I tell you that the internet is JAM-PACKED with information that doesn’t work.
Always apply before you write.
Period.
Blog about things you’re passionate about
If what you’re blogging about feels meaningless, there’s a good chance you’ll quit.
How motivated were you last time you had a job you didn’t see yourself in forever?
When something doesn’t feel purposeful, it’s hard to put your heart and soul into it.
Actually, I take that back.
It isn’t hard, it’s impossible.
You can make any topic successful as long as you feel excited when you write.
I’m passionate about all of the categories on this blog.
I’m constantly reading, watching videos, and talking to others about their experience for each topic I write about.
There’s no way I could have a category on “Yoga” because I’ve never done it.
I also don’t have any interest in it no matter how good the benefits may be.
Even though it is a HIGHLY searched/popular topic on the internet, I’d be incredibly bored writing about it.
I’m not exactly sure what the hell a downward dog is and I don’t care.
I’ve heard people mention it when talking about Yoga, but I don’t know the benefits or purpose.
But come to me for advice on blogging or making money online and I’ll write you an entire book.
Oh that’s right, I already did.
Don’t get impatient
It’s easy to become addicted to the publish button.
This was something I struggled with at the beginning.
I was anxious to fill my blog with content in order to watch it grow rapidly.
This resulted in not creating the best content I possibly could.
So I stopped being so impatient.
I began taking my time with every post.
Until this day, I treat each article with special care.
It’s proofread many times before I even think about publishing.
Never have I proofread an article and not made modifications.
This happens because there are things you can’t see as you type.
Sometimes you say the same thing twice.
Sometimes a sentence can be condensed from 15 words to 7 words.
And sometimes you notice you left out something very important.
In order to start a successful blog and create unlimited content, you have to learn patience.
You must treat your work with care.
The more you proofread your work, the more likely you are to create a great article.
You don’t have to do it 20 times.
However, I have the golden rule of proofreading a minimum of 5 times.
A good idea is to have friends and family proofread it as well.
Offer them an incentive for their help if you must.
Blogging is easy
Blogging isn’t hard physical work, it’s easy.
So easy in fact that it can be dangerous to your health if you don’t get active.
All blogging requires is typing words onto a computer screen.
You then publish your content and it becomes available to anyone in any part of the world.
No matter where it may be, if there’s an internet connection, you’re content is available.
I’ve gotten traffic in the past from places I didn’t know existed.
The abundance of people you can reach is what makes blogging success so easy.
Performing a 12 hour surgery is hard physical work.
Building a house is hard physical work.
Sitting down and writing an article is easy.
Don’t make things hard.
Read, learn, apply, and teach.
It’s the fail-proof formula that will drastically grow your blog.
You now have the tools to start a successful blog and create unlimited content.
Follow my advice so you can expedite your success.
Get to work!
