Why Pain is Inevitable and Success is a Choice
Last week I suffered one of the most heart breaking moments in my entire life.
My dog and best friend, Toby, went to heaven.
He was 10 years old and had been battling lymphoma for many years.
I did everything in my power to help him.
Doctor’s visits, the best food money can buy, clean fresh water, daily walks, and a lot of love.
But nothing in the world could cure his sickness.
I’m grateful I got him as a puppy and gave him an amazing life.
And although my heat is broken into a million pieces, I know that he wouldn’t want me to feel down.
So just for him, I wake up every day and smile.
I’ll see you later, little bro…
In life, pain in inevitable
No matter who you are or how good you to do others, you will suffer.
Every living thing that you love will die.
Life is incredibly short and you should use that as a motivator instead of a depressant.
Right now, make the decision that you’re going to live how you want.
You want to be stuck in an office your whole life and take one vacation a year?
Do it.
You want to create value, start an internet business, and live life on your own terms?
Do it.
You want to get married and have 5 kids?
Do it.
You want to live the bachelor life and date beautiful women until you die?
Do it.
You want to start a YouTube channel about your favorite foods and how to cook them so you can eventually earn enough money off ads to quit your day job?
Do it.
You want to sell snow codes at the park and watch kids have fun running around without a care in the world?
Do it.
If it brings you joy, if it makes everything else feel irrelevant, if it gives you a reason to get up in the morning…
Do it!!!
Don’t ask anyone if it’s a good idea.
Don’t doubt yourself.
Don’t wonder “what if”.
Just do it.
What is success and why it’s a choice?
Asking this question is non-sense.
The definition of success is different to everyone.
For some people, success means earning a TON of money.
For others, it’s earning just enough money to get by so that they can live a minimalist lifestyle and have a lot of free time.
How do you figure out what success means to you?
You go and sit down in a room, by a lake, in a mountain, in your car, or anywhere else that you can be all by yourself and you think about it until the answer comes to you.
Then…
Go after it and NEVER QUIT until you get it.
Sacrifice whatever necessary and delay all gratification.
Because the day you become successful is the day you start living.
Until then, you’re just getting by.
You’re just hoping for change.
You’re just wishing things could be different.
But all wishing and hoping does is waste time.
Take all that energy you’re using to wish and hope and channel it into the getting the life you want.
Become a success savage and don’t let anything or anyone stop you.
Pain is coming, so prepare for it.
Your success (whatever it may be) is waiting…
Are you going to get it?
Talk soon,
-Alex
