Whatever you’re passionate about, that’s what you should be focusing on in life.
Trying to figure out how to “get more money”, is a waste of time.
It’s backwards thinking.
Whatever you like can be turned into a profitable hobby.
You can go after a high paying career, and you might earn a lot of money…
…but is it worth it if you’re miserable at work?
What’s the point of earning a high salary if you’re stuck at a job you hate week after week, year after year?
Is that living?
So the first step is to sit down and ask yourself what brings you the most pleasure and happiness.
Is it cooking, singing, teaching?
Doesn’t matter what it is, what matters is that you know.
Let’s use one of the above examples: Cooking
You’re someone who loves cooking and gets great feedback from others.
Your food looks and tastes amazing.
You enjoy cooking delicious meals and don’t feel that it’s something that you must do.
You look forward to doing it every day.
However, you’re worried about your earnings potential.
You know that you can either work as a chef or open a catering business, but fear that your income is limited.
Except that it isn’t.
In a day and age where the internet is exploding with profitable opportunities, you can create value and offer it online.
An example would be you keeping your job as a chef or caterer while creating cooking videos on your time off.
But wait, there’s so much competition on the internet, why would you waste your time creating videos?
What if no one is interested in them?…There’s already a bunch of cooking videos online.
I use to have a scarcity mindset like this.
Before starting this blog, I would repeat this dialogue daily:
“What’s the point, there’s so much competition online. How would any one find my blog, and if they did, would they like what I have to say?… I know I have great advice and information but there’s just so much similar content online. Maybe I’ll just focus on something else for now.”
Until one day, I decided to ignore all my doubts and begin my blog.
When someone I give advice to comes back and tells me how much it helped them, I feel great!
This is why I finally decided to stop doubting myself and just start.
Within 3 weeks of posting articles, I started receiving emails and comments for my content on how great it was.
I couldn’t believe it!
All of my doubts were gone.
I realized that you could do anything you want if you just take action!
There are millions of people searching online to learn how to cook.
And here’s a secret…
Even though there’s a lot of competition online, not everyone relates the same way to certain people.
In other words, if you and I both start selling cooking videos online, some people will like me and some will like you.
Some people might be prefer your style of teaching, personality, humor, or as unethical as it sounds, your looks.
A woman in her 40’s with kids will be more appealing to moms around the same age group.
Get what I mean?
Whatever you offer, there is a market who wants to learn from someone just like you.
Let me remind you that there over 6 billion people in the world, and that number is growing!
Your goal is to create value from your hobby and show others how to do something they like.
Of course, videos aren’t your only option.
You can create a blog with articles, an E-book, or even teach live classes on your spare time.
All of these things have earnings potential.
The most important thing is taking action.
If you work as a chef during the day, you can begin filming videos at night while preparing dinner.
If you want to write an E- book, you can pick your top 10 recipes and write how to prepare each one.
If you want to teach a class, you can start with once or twice a week in the evening’s.
It’s important to mention that creating content and offering it online is most profitable.
You reach a larger audience and your earning potentials are limitless.
Of course, that all depends on the amount of effort you put in.
There is no reason for you to stay in or go after a career that you don’t like.
You can earn plenty of money with your hobby with persistent effort.
With patience and effort, I promise you that the rewards will come.
Contribution is the BEST way to earn a living.
Showing others how to do something they love is the most rewarding career you can create for yourself.
By focusing on creating value for others, you’ll never feel like you’re actually working.
Sure, there will be busy work to do at times, but it’s for something your passionate about, not something that you need to do in order to keep a job.
See the difference?
If you’re currently in a career that you don’t like, start something you’re passionate about on your spare time and eventually you can do it full-time.
If you’re already doing something you’re passionate about and just want to earn extra money, start working on it during your spare time.
Most people don’t go after their passion because they have limiting beliefs or self-doubts.
You will never be fulfilled or happy working a job you’re not passionate about.

Alex

You received comments 3 weeks in? I got my first comment after 6 months and was close to quitting, I can say that this one comment helped me to continue my blog.
Forget the 9-5, there is so much money online!
