Yesterday, I woke up, logged into this site to make sure everything was OK, and then proceeded to do nothing the rest of the day.
I ordered take-out from one of my favorite places, watched a couple of football games and movies, and practically spent the whole day in bed.
It was great.
Now, there’s no way in hell I could do that for an entire week.
Honestly, I don’t think I could do it two days in a row.
But, doing it once per week is extremely enjoyable and beneficial.
Sundays are one of my favorite days.
It’s the one and only day where I don’t think about much.
That means that things like business, what I eat, or how I spend my day don’t matter.
Whether I spend the day watching football with family or fishing with my best friend, it simply doesn’t matter.
Sunday is the day that allows my mind a break.
I achieve this by engaging in minimal thinking, movement, and focus.
Why is this important?
Because it prevents YOU from getting burned out.
If you work hard 7 days a week, follow a strict diet, and don’t do anything relaxing; you’re slowly but surely setting yourself up for failure.
A man’s mind needs rest.
Period.
And im not talking about 8 hours of sleep rest.
No, I’m talking a whole day where nothing concerns you.
It’s basically a “reset day”.
A lazy Sunday not only prevents you from burning yourself out, but also improves your quality of work in all areas of life.
You’re much more motivated to stay focused on goals if you’re allowed a day off from them.
Goals require behavior change.
As humans, we resist change at all costs.
Having one day to relax and not have to fight temptation allows the other 6 days to be much easier.
Now, it’s important you understand that I’m telling you to be lazy for ONE day.
Not two, three, or four days; just one!
Enjoy your lazy Sundays without worry.
However, once Monday comes back around, throw the concept of lazy out the window and continue improving your business, physical, and personal life success.
Some people say that there’s no such thing as “days off”.
I think it’s just plain ridiculous and silly.
I created my MOST profitable product MR. $100 by enjoying a lazy Sunday.
But, rest assured that I worked like a mad man the other 6 days of the week.
So, you feel like staying in and watching TV all day?
Great, leave it for Sunday.
You want to eat that large pizza followed by some ice cream?
Great, leave it for Sunday.
You want lay on the beach all day, looking at the clouds, without a single worry on your mind?
Great, leave it for Sunday.
Again, one day per week won’t hurt you.
On the contrary, it’ll help you both mentally and physically.
Trust me.
Talk soon,
