Why Having a Plan B Destroys Your Chances of Success
“In case this doesn’t work out, I have this as a back-up plan”
If that’s your mindset with your current goal, it’s time to change it.
Having a ‘plan B’ will NOT help your chances of success.
Why?
Because a back-up plan makes you feel safe.
It keeps you in your comfort zone and makes you complacent.
It doesn’t make your goal a necessity.
You don’t become motivated to devote all of your time and energy.
In order to really make progress and achieve anything worthwhile, you need to act like your goal is a MUST.
In other words, your goal can’t just be something you’d like to achive.
…It has to be something you MUST achieve in order to survive.
See the difference?
Without the will and motivation to do whatever necessary to achieve a goal, you minimize your chances of success.

The Right Mindset
Your mindset has to be:
“This is what I’m going to do and I will never look back. I will persist until I achieve it.”
Interestingly enough, when you develop this mindset is when you’ll make the MOST progress.
But fear is what stops people from thinking this way.
Fear is what keeps people with the mindset of “I need to have a plan B or I’ll ruin my life”.
No you won’t.
Having a plan B will ruin your chances of success.
Plan B allows your mindset to be in two different places.
Person A: “Hey what are your goals?”
Person B: “Well, I’m either going to do this or that”.
No, my friend.
There is no this or that!
There’s your most important goal and nothing else!
Plan B is basically you telling yourself that there’s a chance you might fail.
However, if on the other hand, there’s no choice but for you to succeed…
…If there’s no plan B…
…If your goal in mandatory and not optional…
….You’ll get what you want.
I didn’t start this blog saying “Well, I guess I’ll try it and if doesn’t go anywhere, I’ll just do something else”.
No way!
I knew that would be setting myself up for failure.
Instead, I started this blog by making the commitment that I’ll do whatever it takes to MAKE IT WORK!
Plan B?
No thanks.
Action steps:
1) Pick one goal
2) Eliminate your plan B
3) Take action until you succeed
Follow those three steps and I guarantee your success will arrive.
How long will it take?
I don’t know.
But here’s what I can tell you…
Every additional hour you work daily is an hour quicker that you’ll achieve your goal.
The only secret to success is putting the time in.
If you and I set the same goal, but I work two hours daily and you only work one; who’s going to make more progress?
Consistent work beats talent any day of the week.
Those who work more will have more.
End of story.

When you’re mind is 100% laser focused on one goal and you make consistent effort without having a safety back-up plan; you’ll get scared at how much success pours into your life.
It’s unbelievable what this shift in mindset does for your level of success and achievement.
But hey, all I can do is write and tell you that this is how success works.
Only YOU can apply what I teach you and prove it to yourself.
…So what are you going to do?
Talk soon,
-Alex
