Why You Should Work Like You Have a Twin To Expedite Success
I’m always writing.
If I’m at the grocery store, I’m writing in mind.
If I’m sitting in my car at a red light, I’m making notes in my phone.
If I’m at a boxing fight, I’m thinking about what my next article will be during the resting rounds.
My mind is always on business.
I don’t take days off – I take hours off.
See the difference?
Taking a full day off working would be injustice to this blog.
A disgrace.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy myself throughout the day.
I do things that bring me pleasure and relaxation.
But trust me when I tell you that there’s a part of my brain that’s always thinking Inertia Will Hurt Ya.
The amount of content I’ve published in the time frame I’ve been blogging is incredible.
My dedication makes it appear as if I had a twin helping me do double the work.
A twin that adds to my success just like the Hodgetwins on Youtube.
While one of them is editing videos, the other one is out shipping products to customers.
But I wasn’t fortunate enough to be born with a twin brother.
Do I complain that the Hodgetwins are lucky?
Do I use the lame excuse that they’re only successful because they can help each other do double the work?
NO.
You see, they have an advantage.
All that means is that I have to work a little harder than they do.
I simply act as if I have a twin.
It’s a little mind game I play.
And you know what?
Its worked incredibly well.
If successful bloggers write one article per day, I write two.
If someone has what I want, I won’t stop working until I’ve done more than they have.
It becomes the new goal.
The obsession.
The burning desire.
It’s my constant reminder that I have to work a little harder.
How do you achieve the same and more than someone who has what you want?
You put in DOUBLE the time.
And since you probably don’t have a twin, you have to make pretend.
In my book Mr. $100, I talk about how I would get up early to put in hours before going to work.
Then I would continue working once I got home.
By doing double the amount of work I’d do if I actually had a twin, I was able to rapidly grow this blog and create 4 eBooks.
People always wonder how to succeed quickly.
There are no secrets.
It’s simple.
PUT IN THE TIME.
The price of success is TIME.
The more time you give, the more success you acquire.
End of story.
Talk soon,
-Alex
