25 Things Every Man Must Do to Improve and Take His Success to The Next Level
During my personal development journey, I’ve learned a lot interesting things.
Some of those things were small changes that made a HUGE impact in my life.
No matter who you are or where you want to go, you should always strive to become a better version of yourself.
Below are the 25 things every man must do to improve and take his success to the next level.

1) Walk one hour and listen to an audible-book
Walking one hour every day has countless benefits.
You burn fat, take in fresh air, lower stress, stay active, and many other great things.
In order to take it to the next level, I recommend also listening to an audio-book.
Not only are you improving your health, but you’re getting smarter as you walk.
You can easily listen to 1-2 new books weekly by doing this.
Imagine if you did it for an entire year.
You’ll DRASTICALLY improve both your overall health and knowledge.
I recommend doing it first thing in the morning in order to set a positive tone for your day.
Hands down, this is one the BEST productivity things you can add to your routine.
Make sure you listen to Personal Development books only.
Begin with Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
Every man who’s serious about his success should have the wisdom of that book buried deep in their mind.
2) Write down your goals
You need to know where you’re going in life.
Without directions, you’re bound to get lost and end up somewhere no good.
Don’t just wake up and go with the flow.
Create the life you want.
What is it exactly that you want?
What’s most important to you?
What’s the one thing that if you achieve will change your entire life?
This tells your subconscious-mind exactly what direction to take you in.
It also ensures that you eventually make your goals a reality.
You’ll thank me.
3) Develop a work ethic
I’ve studied successful people exhaustively.
While they all have different hobbies and beliefs about life; the one thing they share is a strong work ethic.
You should reach the point where you’re either working hard or vacationing big.
If you really want the best that life has to offer, you need to put in more time than the average person.
Working 40 hours per week isn’t going to get you the best things in life.
Sure, it’s going to help you ”get by”.
…But it’s not going to give you real success, freedom, and happiness.
A strong work ethic is what separates the men from the boys.
It’s what gets you results.
But most importantly, it’s what changes your life for the better.
Devote many hours to whatever it is you want to achieve.
Work on it during your spare time so you can eventually quit your job and do it full-time.
Combine that with never quitting and eventually, at some point, you will succeed.
I absolutely 100% guarantee it.
But you need to start today!
The more hours you dedicate, the faster your results.
4) Stop Hanging around negative people
Unfortunately, negative people are everywhere.
Fortunately, you can do something about it.
It appears that being negative is easier than being positive these days.
You’ll hear people complain about how life isn’t fair and how anyone who achieves anything worthwhile got lucky.
Instead of taking action and becoming responsible for their own success, negative people complain.
Hang around them long enough and you’ll soon find yourself also complaining.
Negative people bring you down and make you look at life from a different angle.
…And it’s a bad angle.
Either get rid of them or catch them at their best so that no negativity rubs off on you.
You’re a product of your environment.
Spend time with positive people who have goals similar to yours.
People who smile and don’t take life so seriously.
People who see the good in everything.
People who will tell you things like “You’re going to succeed. I just know it.”‘
You should be reading a minimum of one hour per day.
While listening to an audio-book for an hour is great, you should also spend another hour actually reading.
Besides the accumulation of knowledge, reading has positive effects on your health.
Sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea and reading a self-improvement book is much better for your health than watching the negativity on the news or the non-sense on TV shows these days.
Try reading when it’s close to bed time to help you wind down.
I made it a priority a long time ago to read daily.
Now, I’m at the point where I feel anxious if I haven’t read all day.
6) Drink Sleepy-Time Tea Extra
This is hands down the absolute best tea before bed.
It completely relaxes and puts you to sleep like a baby.

7) Get a dog
This is a great place to start learning how to become a responsible adult.
And while a dog is nothing like a real child, it comes pretty close.
It requires your time, energy, and effort.
You need to walk, feed, and take it to the vet for check-ups.
It teaches you responsibility and gives you a reason to get up and walk around the block whether you feel like it or not.
When a dog looks at you with its honest eyes, it breaks your heart and makes you jump off the couch to take it for its daily walk.
Dogs also bring joy into your life by providing companionship and laughter.
Don’t go and spend thousands of dollars on one.
Go and rescue one at your local dog pound or search on Craigslist for free dogs in your area.
There are many dogs in need of a good home and paying hundreds or thousands of dollars for one is selfish.
I suggest taking your new friend with you on your one hour walk discussed in #1.
Dogs are such powerful and uplifting little animals that psychiatrist recommend them to depressed patients.
No matter what happens in my life, I will always be a dog owner.
8) Make sleep a priority
There are so many negative side effects from sleep deprivation.
Some things include increased appetite, lack of work quality, and a negative mood.
I’ve made it a priority to get a minimum of 7-8 hours every night.
In order to be operating at your best, you need to get a great nights rest no matter what.
Any hint of light can interrupt your sleep.
The difference between when I get 7-8 hours of sleep vs. when I get less is obvious.
Make it a priority and watch the positive effects you experience on a daily basis.
Sweating eliminates toxins from your body.
You can do it daily by either sitting in a sauna or engaging in some form of cardio.
My favorite form of cardio is jumping rope.
It’s an exercise I picked up from watching professional boxer’s train.
My shirt is drenched in sweat after a jump rope session.
Not to mention the workout I give my entire body.
If you want to sweat a lot, burn fat like crazy, and do wonders for your health, start jumping rope.
Try it and you’ll see just how great of a workout it can be.
But whether you jump rope or do some other form of cardio, make sure you sweat daily.
10) Quit Porn
Porn is the disastrous to your health.
It creates anxiety and MANY other psychological consequences.
There’s nothing wrong with masturbation.
The porn is the problem.
There have been studies conducted to confirm how porn affects the brain.
Turns out that porn can destroy motivation and make you incredibly lazy.
The reason behind this is that porn triggers a release of excessive dopamine in your brain.
Dopamine is a feel good chemical that plays a huge role in your level of motivation.
What starts happening is your brain grows tolerant to your regular levels of dopamine due to the immense amount released during watching porn.
As a result you get lazy, depressed, and seek more porn.
There are countless stories online of people who’ve experienced positive things after they quit watching it.
Many claim to feel more in control of life, less anxiety, able to talk to women easily, feeling physically and mentally stronger, and so on.
Again, porn is disastrous.
NEVER WATCH IT AGAIN!
11) Make money online
Making money online is the
You need money in order to be free.
If you need to go to work every day to earn a living, you’re not free.
You’re trading your time for money.
And while things could be worse, they can also be a lot better.
You can change your current status and begin making a full-time living online.
If you think that sitting on a beach while people buy your products online isn’t realistic, I got news for you my friend…

12) Learn how to talk to people and get them to like you
Look at people in the eye when you talk to them.
Smile and be genuine.
Use their name in the conversation.
Motivate and tell them how they can do and be anything.
Be positive and encouraging.

13) Develop an abundance mindset
There’s enough opportunity to succeed at anything you want.
Whether it’s making money online like me, starting a local business, or anything else; you can do it if you start and don’t quit.
Most people start something and quit when the success doesn’t come quickly.
Other people never start due to fear of failure and a lacking mindset.
There’s plenty of opportunity for everyone to be successful.
I’ve heard people say that the internet is too saturated and that making money online is no longer ideal.
Well I got news for you, my friend.
Every day, many people get rich online because of their level of self-belief as well as their abundance mindset.
Simply take action, don’t quit, and watch how you prove yourself wrong as you achieve everything you thought wasn’t possible.
14) Make a schedule
Stay organized and make sure you get things done.
Create a daily schedule to ensure you take care of all your priorities.
Being organized will not only bring you success but also give you peace of mind.
Go over your tasks for the day in the morning.
Do your best to be on time to any meetings or appointments you may have.
15) Delay gratification
In order to get the best things in life, you need to learn to delay gratification.
You can’t lose weight by eating sweets all day.
You can’t be out with friends having fun if you want to start a business online.
In other words, you have to stop doing the things that bring you instant pleasure in order to get an even BIGGER pleasure later on.
That cookie might taste great now, but having a flat stomach will be WAY more rewarding in the future.
Going out with friends might be fun tonight, but not as much fun as having money deposited daily into your bank account from your online business.
Learn to delay gratification and your life will be filled with amazing things.
Delaying gratification doesn’t mean you 100% quit doings things you love.
It simply means saying ‘no’ to them for a while.
16) Practice sex transmutation
Sex transmutation is the act of abstaining from sex in order to direct your sexual energy towards something great.
In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill has a whole chapter devoted to this topic.
Abstaining from sex is a very powerful way to take your energy and creativity to the next level.
The desire for sex is the MOST powerful of all human desires.
When a man is driven by the desire of sex, he develops high levels of imagination, self-control, motivation, and persistence unavailable to him at other times.
Scientific research has confirmed that men of greatest achievement had highly developed sex natures.
These men learned and practiced the art of sex transmutation.
Keep your sexual energy (orgasm) inside you as long as possible.
You’ll notice all the benefits I just mentioned continue to grow with each day that goes by.
17) Wake up earlier
Instead of rushing through your morning and barely making it anywhere on time, develop the habit of getting up earlier.
You can get a ton of things out the way by developing this habit.
Some things include working out, catching up on any pending projects, and preparing for the rest of the day.
Most successful people get up earlier in order to start their day right.
Many of them workout, meditate, and do other things that will set a positive tone for the entire day.
I personally saw massive progress in my overall success when I began getting up at 5 a.m.

18) 100 push-ups daily
Whether your goal is to get really slim and fit or really big and strong; every man needs to reach the point where they can complete 100 push-ups daily.
Unless you have a medical reason or injury, there’s no excuses.
It doesn’t matter how many sets you need to perform in order to reach 100.
Even if you have to do 100 sets of just one push-up.
Just get down and do them!
Eventually, you’ll reach the point where you do 100 reps in a single set.
Besides the physical benefits that come from push-ups, you also develop the discipline of character.
Character and discipline go hand in hand.
In order to build a strong character, you need discipline.
How many men can honestly say that they perform 100 push-ups every morning no matter what?
It might not seem like much, but trust me, it makes a HUGE difference.
Get down and give me 100!
19) Pick one success goal and commit to it
You should always have at least one goal you’re currently working on.
And you should commit to achieving that goal no matter how many times you fail or how long it takes.
As long as you always have a goal that’s pending achievement, your life will always feel meaningful.
You’ll always have a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
20) Be smart with women
A woman can either add to your success and happiness, or make your life a living hell.
I learned a long time ago that the most beautiful woman sometimes come with the most problems.
It’s hard to find a woman that’s both beautiful and worth getting serious with.
Be careful with who you decide to bring into your life.
Women should add comfort, happiness, and great memories to your life; not the opposite.
21) Dress like a man
Don’t wear clothes that are too tight or baggy.
A real man wears fitted clothes that highlight his primal features.
Tight clothes makes you look silly and ridiculous.
Baggy clothes makes you look like a child.
Wear clothes that looks good on your body type.
If you’re overweight, a baggy shirt isn’t going to make you look better.
Becoming responsible for your health and getting fit is going to make you look better.
If you have 6% body-fat and your muscles are pumped, an extra tight t-shirt isn’t going to make you look better.
Dressing like a man who wears fitted clothes is going to make you look better.
22) Take care of your appearance
There’s nothing unmanly about grooming yourself.
Keep up with your haircut and whatever style of hair you have.
Either be clean shaven or keep a trimmed and neat beard.
Please brush your teeth, floss, and use a tongue scraper.
Don’t wear clothes more than once without washing it.
Replace all socks and underwear every couple of months.
Always use baby powder on your feet and in your groin to prevent sweating and bad smells.
23) Get away
You need to free your mind and disconnect from reality.
Even if you don’t go anywhere extravagant, at least go on a mini road trip to a place that’s not part of your daily routine.
Turn off your cellphone and just let your mind wonder.
I recommend you do this a minimum of once every 90 days for no less than a week.
Go fishing, ride jet-skis, surf on the beach, ride horses, go camping.
Doesn’t matter what it is, just get away and allow your mind to reset.
24) Spend time with family
Life can get in the way and seeing family happens less and less.
Don’t let it.
Life is meant to be spent with those closes to you.
Try your best to visit family a couple times per month.
If that’s simply not possible, give them a call.
The day will come when they’re no longer around and you’re really going to wish you saw them more often.
My family is small so I make sure to call and visit my mom, uncle, and cousins on the regular.
25) Stay focused
Life will pass you by in the blink of an eye if you don’t stay focused.
Think about what’s really important to you, what your values are, and what will truly make you happy.
Remain focus until you’re living the exact life you want.
Don’t settle for anything less.
Less isn’t good enough.
You’re good enough and deserve whatever you want.
That’s why you read this entire article because you’re one of the few who strives for self-improvement.
