Your first dates with woman should be fun.
It’s a no brainer, right?
Well believe it or not, for A LOT of guys, it isn’t.
Most guys still do the dinner and movie thing on the first date.
Is this a terrible idea for a first date?
Well no, not exactly.
However, if you want to stand out and be different, you MUST do something different.
You have to show her that you are creative and confident by not doing what every other guy does.
This is something that I talk about inside my classic dating book. (Get it here)
Taking a woman on a date she’s never been on before is better.
It increases chances of chemistry and makes you memorable.
You want to create memories and chemistry on your first date, don’t you?
What kind of chemistry do you create sitting in a loud restaurant, being constantly interrupted by the waitress, and staring at each other while eating?
Like I said, this isn’t the worst idea but it’s definitely NOT the best.
Woman have a lot of things going on in their minds during a first date:
“Do I look ok?…”
“Does he like me?…”
“Am I talking too much or not enough?…”
Sitting across each other at dinner just makes her constantly worry about these things.
You should go somewhere with a fun and positive atmosphere that has a lot going on so that her mind is stimulated.
When you go somewhere boring like dinner, you’re forced to stare at each other eating while asking boring questions like:
“So where do you work?…”
“Do you like it?…”
“Do you have a lot of family here?…”
This is BORING!
On the other hand, if you go to a place that has live music and cool shops, it takes all the pressure off the date.
All the activity going on will make for plenty of conversation.
It will feel like an actual date, not a job interview with a list of questions.
If the first date goes well, then you can take her to dinner on the second date.
By the second date, she will be A LOT more comfortable and relaxed.
She knows you better and feels more at ease with you.
She knows that she likes you and that you like her.
I mean, after all, you both agreed to go on a second date.
Makes sense, right?
First dates are where all the pressure is, so you want to make it as comfortable and fun as possible.
Here’s what I do when I meet a woman and call her to set up a date.
Oh and before I continue, please actually CALL her to set up a date.
Don’t text her like a little scared puppy, be assertive and confident like a man.
Get on the phone and keep it short and simple:
“Hey, I know this great place with a fancy coffee shop that I love. Meet me there at 7:30 p.m. There’s a lot of fun things going on in the area, we can eat something after if we’re hungry or grab a drink and walk around.”
You see that?…No pressure.
The woman thinks to herself, “That’s actually pretty good. If we don’t hit it off during coffee, I can just go home.”
She already arrives to the date a lot more at ease which is great for both of you.
You also save time and money that you would have spent on dinner because you might not even like her or have intentions of seeing her again.
Save the fancy and expensive dinners for later on when you actually KNOW her as a person.
When she DESERVES it.
You want fancy dinners to be meaningful, not a strategy to get her to like you.
I’m speaking from the heart here, can you tell?
Woman know the difference between you spending money to get her to like you, and you spending money because you already know she likes you but want to do something special for her anyways.
You can learn a lot more than you think about a woman in 15-20 minutes of coffee.
Get to know what type of person she is and then continue to hang out with her after coffee, if you WANT to.
Like I said, if you take her to dinner, you are both forced to sit there until you finish eating whether you like each other or not.
How awkward and uncomfortable is that?
Remember that by doing different things, you keep the date interesting.
Interesting First Dates
1. Coffee at a fancy coffeehouse.
2. Grab something to eat at a small family owned food joint and tell her the history of how the owners started the business.
3.Grab a drink or go for a walk to check out cool shops in the area.
Boring First Dates
1. Dinner
2. Movie
Please note, it’s OK to eat with her on a first date, but not a whole dinner.
Just something fun and quick at a family owned food joint works well.
But Alex, I don’t know any family food joints with fun things going on in the same area…
Then find one!
I hope I’ve made myself clear here.
You want to keep the energy up during your date , and moving from place to place is a great way to do that.
It’s fun. It’s different. It’s refreshing.
Try it!
Dress nice, groom yourself properly, don’t over do it with the cologne, and most importantly, have fun!
