It’s that time of the year.
The day where people justify eating like they’ve been starved for weeks.
It’s a joyful day that’s spent with delicious food and family.
But there’s one problem…
It easily leads to weight gain if you’re not careful.
Don’t worry, I got you covered.
Follow my five steps below to enjoy Thanksgiving without worrying about overeating.
1) Only have one Thanksgiving meal
Whether you want to eat at noon, at 3pm, or at 11pm – go ahead and eat!
However, do not eat throughout the entire day.
Instead, have just your Thanksgiving meal.
This saves calories for your glorious meal and forces your body to use stored fat for energy since you’ll be in a fasted state for most of the day.
On Thanksgiving day, drink black coffee, a ton of water, and get busy.
This bring me to my next point.
2) Engage in a brutal workout
You want to eat like a starved lion?
Fine.
But, you’ll also need to move like a starved lion on the prowl for food.
Every year on Thanksgiving I engage in a monster workout.
I load up on black coffee and spend a minimum of two hours in the gym.
Whether you simply walk, or do a thousand different workouts in those two hours, is up to you.
The goal is to move for two hours to guarantee you burn a lot of calories.
This will put you in a HUGE caloric deficit for the day.
By burning 800-1000 calories, you’ll be able to get away with eating more on Thanksgiving.
For example, let’s say that you can eat a maximum of 2,500 calories per day to maintain your weight.
If you engage in a monster workout, you’ll be able to eat 800-1000 calories, plus 2,500 calories…WITHOUT GAINING A SINGLE POUND!
That means you’ll get to eat 3,300-3,500 calories on Thanksgiving day.
Do you know how much food 3,300-3,500 calories is?
Are you seeing why this works so well?
Let’s continue.
3) Eat slow
I’m not telling you to eat less, I’m telling you to eat slower.
Most people who overeat do so because they swallow their food like an anacondo swallows it’s prey.
Cover your plate with your favorite Thanksgiving foods and make sure you actually enjoy them by eating slow.
If you eat too fast, you’re going to eat MORE food because you won’t allow yourself time to feel full.
If there’s one day that it’s easy to overeat, it’s Thanksgiving.
Slow down.
4) Hydrate
What’s one of the TOP reasons for overeating?
Dehydration.
It’s a well-known fact that thirst is constantly mistaken for hunger.
Drink plenty of water all day on Thanksgiving.
It will prevent overeating by keeping your appetite in check.
Trust me.
5) Sacrifice on Friday
To really avoid gaining fat, the best thing you can do is eat like a bird the day after Thanksgiving.
The purpose is to keep your calories as low as possible on Friday.
By doing so, your body is in a HUGE caloric deficit at the end of the day.
This will mitigate the overeating damage done on Thursday.
Eat like a king on Thursday, like a bird on Friday, and resume your regular eating habits on Satuday.
It’s that easy.
Conclusion
There’s no reason why you can’t eat all you want on Thanksgiving.
You see, the problem isn’t what you eat, it’s what you do before and after.
Follow my five steps and you’ll easily prevent fat gain.

Ha ha! Had to laugh at this line Alex:
“Most people who overeat do so because they swallow their food like an anaconda swallows its prey.”
If only I could tell myself this in the moment…
