As long as you’re offering people VALUABLE information, advice, or stories they can learn from; you are more than welcome to monetize your blog.
You have all the right to.
My rule of thumb is:
“Provide a TON of free and valuable information while offering good products/services.”
You don’t have to constantly send out emails to your readers to get them to buy something.
Every single article your write doesn’t have to make a sale.
But you should share or offer your readers products or services that will HELP them.
People like to buy, especially if it’s something that’ll ill eliminate pain or provide pleasure.
Below are some of the popular ways to earn money from your blog.
1. Affiliate Sales
This is one of my favorites because I love sharing products I use, that I know work.
By sharing my positive experience with a product, it allows my readers peace of mind to buy it.
Now they just click the link I provide for them, buy it, and enjoy the same benefits I did.
As a reward for sharing my experience, I get a little commission when they buy the product.
It’s a win-win for everyone.
2. Advertising Banners
This is when you put ads for products or services on your website.
This works well if you’re getting A LOT of traffic on a daily basis.
I personally don’t like it because it takes readers away from your website.
Google AdSense is one of the most popular.
They pay you every time someone clicks their ad on your website, whether they buy or not.
The problem with this is that they pay VERY low, typically .01-.10 cents per click.
Again, not worth it because readers LEAVE your site.
You also have no control over the ad that Google displays.
They change automatically depending on the topic of the article being read.
You want to ensure you’re ONLY advertising products you’ve used and know will help others.
3. Create Your Own Product
This is when you create and sell either a downloadable item (e-book, podcast, audible book) or a physical product (clothes, hats, coffee mugs, etc.).
This is the best option in my opinion because you get 100% commission for all sales.
However, here’s the thing…
You must create an amazing product before selling it.
The quality must be the best you can make it.
Word on the internet gets around QUICK.
If you sell people a low quality product, your credibility will go downhill and you can expect your readers to disappear like someone who owes you money.
Take your time with your product and don’t release it until you feel it’s perfect.

This is a tidy round-up dude. It will be a while before I release my first product, but I’ll make sure it’s amazing when I do! Do you have any plans for your own product?
