While many people want the shortcut to success, others just want a guarantee.
They want confirmation that they won’t waste their time chasing something they’ll never catch.
I get it…but you know what?
There is no guarantee.
…Or is there?
When it comes to succeeding with blogging, there is.
However, it comes with a price.
That price is patience and consistency.
You must write, write, write and never look back.
Here’s how I do it…
Usually I’m driving around when an idea for my next blog post strikes.
As soon as I get home, I write the rough draft (which usually sucks).
When I finish the rough draft, I read it out loud and then walk away from it for 24 hours.
I allow the article to marinate in my mind.
While laying in bed at night, I obsess about it.
I think about what’s missing from the rough draft, and what should be deleted.
Next, I start writing the article from scratch in my head.
The process continues until I fall asleep.
I got this idea from Think and Grow Rich where the author stresses the power of visualizing your goals before going to sleep.
This allows your subconscious-mind to work overtime so you can wake up with ideas, motivation and discipline to make your goal a reality.
Does it work?
Absolutely!
Why?
Because the very next day, my article transforms from a newborn cub into an intimidating lion.
What does this all have to do with blogging success?
Everything.
This is literally all I do…follow the same process to write article after article.
I don’t do any research or blog about “hot topics”, and I sure as hell don’t let anyone write for this blog.
…And I never will.
Instead, I let an idea strike and proceed to create a quality article so that it ranks high in Google and makes me money.
Every day, people from all over the world discover Inertia Will Hurt Ya for the first time.
And every day, my profits are higher than they were a month ago.
What’s the secret?
The secret is getting started, my friend.
What should you write about?
ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!
Don’t ever limit yourself.
Take a look at this blog, I write about various topics.
One day I talk about succeeding with women.
The next day I teach you how to make $100 per day online.
“Oh but Alex, you can’t be an expert in all areas, and only experts make money”.
Don’t make me laugh.
Nobody gives a shit whether you’re an expert or not.
All people care about is that you have an answer to the problem they’re seeking a solution for.
The REAL way to make money online is by creating trust.
How do you do this?
By flooding your blog with quality articles like I do.
Here’s another secret…
If your free articles help people, they instantly associate you as someone who can get them results.
Read that last sentence again.
In fact, read it 100 times because it’s the key to your blogging success.
What happens when you gain their trust and offer them a product they need?
You guessed it…
Their credit cards come flying out of their wallets and your email inbox gets flooded with “Payment Received” emails from PayPal.
I promise you it’s that easy.
But you must first write a TON of quality articles.
You’re not going to do this in a day, month or year.
It’s taken me 3 1/2 years to write 390 articles.
Sure, I could probably have 1,000 articles by now, but they would lack quality and jeopardize my readers trust.
Are you following me?
Listen to me…
Quality content that’s 100% FREE is what makes you money.
Why do 99.9% of bloggers quit?
They lack patience and create shitty articles.
You want to guarantee your success?
Fine.
Write the best articles you can and patiently wait until success arrives.
How long will it take?
If I gave you the answer, it would take you twice as long to get there.
Don’t worry, that will make sense to you later…
For now, sit down and write!
Talk soon,

Aleks,
Hmmm… “Nobody gives a shit if you’re an expert or not.” After years of writing for others, I can definitely agree with this. Though, it does make it harder to figure out what’s true and what’s not.
Al says
I agree with all of this, but I had two instances where two of my regular readers/subscribers got upset at me for selling a book because they were used to reading all of my content for free. One even said he couldn’t afford a $10 book. Crazy.
Al says
What advice would you give to someone who is fed up with their job, tired of working for others, and realizes that making a full time living online seems like the only solution? I’m sure you answer will “blogging” but it takes years to actually start making money from a blog. Blogging seems like a great long term solution, but it gets shaky in the short-term.
I have plenty of work experience, plenty of degrees, but the market is slim where I live so getting a job that fits my credentials is really hard. Going “online” is the only thing that makes sense to escape from all of what I mentioned above.
Thanks

Hi Al,
I’m going to respond by email.

So I registered a domain and was going to start a football blog (a major passion of mine). The new blog was going to cover anything and everything football. From strategy how-to’s, my favorite books, video games, etc. This is much broader than my current football blog. However, after realizing what all I wanted to add to the blog, I realized that most of my content was was going to rehash other useful blog’s info. One of the main draws to starting the blog was i wanted a place to store and share all of the many other football sites I regularly visit.
Rehashing other’s people content is not what I want to do. I want all of my content to be original, from me. There’s nothing wrong with reference other sites, but I’m afraid I will that over time, the site will just be a reference site. I could be wrong though. Maybe a reference/blog site can work.
Alexander Writer says
So what you’re saying is that if I write an article about losing weight, no one else should because they would be rehasing my content?
You’re worrying about the wrong things. People who read your blog want to know YOUR story and experiences. They want to relate to you. Don’t worry about rehashing content, instead worry about how many people are waiting for you to share your story so they can improve their lives.
